Szolnok Municipal Government decided on the acceptance of the Integrated Development Stategy in February, 2008.
The document sums up and evaluates the resources available and defines the specific development projects meant to contribute to a better exploitation of the local economic potentials in the particular districts of the town and improve the quality of life for their residents.
The plan complements the comprehensive „Szolnok, capital of the Tisza” development project which aims to improve the utilisation of Szolnok’s tourism potential, primarily with the development of the Downtown and Tiszaliget by creating recreational zones, developing the thermal baths and building new accommodation.
